The project “Training+ for Youth” is an initiative of Gantalcalá Association (Spain) together with other 9 organizations from Italy (Associazione Culturale Link), Sweden (Integration För Alla), Estonia (Continuous Action), Romania (Asociatia Tineretul Global), Greece (EURITI), Germany (Jugendwerk der AWO Württemberg e.V), Turkey (GENCLIK ORGANIZASYONLARI DERNEGI), Bulgaria (Association “Focus – European center for development”), and Portugal (Associação Spin para o Intercâmbio, Formação e Cooperação entre os Povos), within the Erasmus+ Programme, KA1 Learning Mobility of Individuals, Mobility for Young People and Youth Workers. The training course will be developed in the city of Sevilla, from 7th to 14th September 2014 and each organisation will be represented by 3 project managers, Youth leaders and Youth workers.
The main reason for the organization of such a course could be explained as a need of “awakening” the youth workers who don´t know how to organize and develop a project within the new Erasmus+ Programme, making a deeper focus on Key action 1: Mobility project for young people and youth workers (Youth Exchanges, European Voluntary Service, and Youth workers' training and networking. And Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices (Strategic Partnerships in the field of Education, Training and Youth. This Training course will explore different ways of participation in the field of youth that the new Erasmus+ Programme offer for the period 2014-2020.
The methodology used in this project has been chosen after taking into consideration that many youth workers usually get the knowledge by the, somehow, general content units, they cannot go in depth and have many difficulties to put into practice. That´s why an alternative approach will be implemented, using the Non Formal Education tools and techniques in an efficient way for each one of the workshops and activities carried on during the training. Regarding this point, it is important to highlight the use of ICT´s that improve team-work and Communication strategies. This accurate `modus operandis´ will guarantee a successful implementation of the Key action 1: Mobility project for young people and youth workers (Youth Exchanges, European Voluntary Service, and Youth workers' training and networking. And Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices (Strategic Partnerships in the field of Education, Training and Youth.
